When I decided to become a farmer, my grandmother said, “You will be poor.” I said, “I will be happy.”
My good fortune was that someone loved me enough to marry me; for who I was; for the life I chose; for my dreams.
We were always short of cash. But to this day, I have never heard any complaint, not even a whimper.
Violaine had to make most everything we needed for our home from scratch. She used simple household items, kitchen utensils and kitchen supplies to produce items that we needed at home.
Since we were beekeepers, and knew the benefits of all our beehive products, we then put a lot of them into most of these household items.
We made shampoo, liquid soap, lotions, throat spray, ointments, liniments, anti-mosquito oils, cider vinegar, soaps, lotions, candles, wood polish…….mostly for our family’s use.
here are samples of our first soaps……….made from beeswax, honey, propolis, many other natural oils………….they were uh……….too sticky……but they lasted a long time

with time, they got better….

and even better……

and more varied………….
So, if it was Christmas, or your birthday…………..we would give you a bar of soap or two…… …..you might have given the extra bar of soap……….or bottle of honey…………or jar of pollen….or a bottle of honey cider…………or a beeswax candle……..to a friend………..who needed more…………
And looked for it………….and found us.

so we attempted to increase production………………

and increased it some more…………

People started looking for them.
First, we attempted to join bazaars, festivals, etc…………
Agri-Kapihan at Manila Seedling Bank

At the Imus Sport Center

At Picnic Grove

And many other events in many other venues………until
we decided to clean out our spare room and offer our products there……………

and started our search for suitable packaging……

This was our first store.

And the rest, so they say, is history.
Our kids enjoying our new store one Halloween.
