Citrus Polination Link to Contract Polination
Contract Polination Services
Citrus Pollination

Citrus Pollination is somewhat similar. The only difference is that the citrus bloom is triggered by water starvation followed by a good drenching. Rain drenches better. However, this makes timing especially sensitive for citrus pollination.

Contract Pollination services are normal in other countries where this has been practiced for about 100 years. We have only more than 20 years experience in the setting of Philippine agriculture, but here are some links that may help you appreciate the value of pollination:

Ilog Maria Contract Pollination Services

When our hectic timetable allows and if your farm is reasonably near, we can offer our contract pollination service. Please contact us to book about three months before your estimated orchard bloom. Contract pollination works effectively with most agricultural crops here in the Philippines.

For a sample pollination contract see:

Our minimum requirements are:
  • That you are also a hands-on orchardist and farmer. This means that you are directly managing your farm and that you are in your farm 2 to 3 times a week.
  • That you will comply with our suggested cultural practices.
  • That you will never apply herbicides or pesticides immediately before, during and after the contracted period for pollination.
  • That you will comply with all the terms and conditions of any pollination contract that we agree upon.
  • This ensures that we minimize the risk for both of us and maximize results.
  • That you will first convince yourself of the potential value of having your farm contract pollinated by Ilog Maria Honeybee Farms.
  • That you will first visit the links provided for above to learn about pollination and its value to agriculture, in general; and to your specific crops.

Please visit us when you have reviewed the details we have given here, so we can both have an intelligent assessment of how and when we can serve you.
